Like its 5.56mm counterpart, the MR762A1 is a direct descendent of the HK417 select-fire military rifles, in a semi-automatic configuration for commercial users. It is assembled utilizing US and German-made components and uses many of the same parts and assemblies developed for the legendary HK417 machine gun. The MR762A1 uses a proprietary HK closed gas piston operating system that virtually eliminates malfunctions common in direct-impingement gas systems, and yield much cooler, cleaner, lower-maintenance operation. This is the same key feature critical to the success of the HK416 used by elite military and law enforcement worldwide. The MR762A1 features a cold hammer forged barrel made from HK’s highest-quality, proprietary cannon grade steel, which yields a barrel ensuring superior accuracy and function under all conditions, even after firing thousands of rounds. While the material and cold hammer forging processes themselves greatly enhance durability, HK’s special proprietary internal manufacturing processes include many additional steps not exercised by other manufacturers to produce extraordinary accuracy across a vast service life, generating performance well above mil-spec. As HK celebrates its 75th Anniversary, there is a very limited opportunity to own a piece of history in the form of this specially-finished M762A1 rifle Cerakoted in the Flecktarn or Tropentarn camo finish of Germany’s armed forces, the Bundeswehr. The Bundeswehr has fielded a wide array of HK weapons uninterrupted since arming the West German Army with the G3 in the 1950s, and there is no longer, or more valued relationship in HK’s history. Exactly 250 of these kits will be produced. The rifle is tastefully and discreetly laser engraved with HK’s 75th Anniversary logo, packed in a custom-fitted quality polymer hard case, containing four 20-round magazines, a finished-alike HK fixed blade combat knife, and a 75th Anniversary coin.
- Only 250 anniversary models will be produced
